About Grzegorz Hreczycho


Grzegorz Hreczycho was born in Zielona Góra, Poland, in 1977. He received his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry in 2002 under the supervision of Prof. Jerzy Langer and was awarded a PhD in 2007 under the supervision of Professor Bogdan Marciniec, both from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland).

During his PhD studies he participated Socrates Placement Programme (3 months) and he joined Prof. Alfred Noels group at the University of Liege (Belgium). So far, he was chosen as a recipient and supervisor of 5 scientific grants (2x IUVENTUS PLUS from MNiSW, 2x OPUS from NCN, 1x SONATA BIS from NCN)

His research interests cover novel applications of unsaturated silicon and germanium compounds in addition and cross-coupling reactions catalyzed by transition metal complexes, Lewis acid catalysts, and main group species. He is an author of 69 papers in prestigious journals.
